Brian J. Ryea

Brian James Ryea, 60, passed away with his family by his side at Southern Maine Medical Center on Friday, January 24, 2020, after his battle with Stage 4 Lung Cancer. Brian was born on August 18th 1959 in Norwalk, Connecticut to Clifford and Lois (Dykeman) Ryea. He was the fifth born out of the couple's seven children. The family moved to Massachusetts where Brian would spend his childhood and teen years. In his late teens, the family moved to Sanford Maine, where Brian would meet his future wife, Sheila. The two spent 7 years together before beginning their family and would be celebrating their 34th wedding Anniversary in May.Brian worked at Spencer Press for 27 years until the company closed. He finished out his career at Jarvis Cutting Tools with a loving and supporting work family that he adored. Brian had many close, lifelong friends whom he loved hunting, fishing and jamming with.He is preceded by his father Clifford. Brian is survived by his wife of 34 years, Sheila, two daughters Amber and Autumn, his mother Lois, and granddaughter Amara, his six siblings, Linda, Laura, Karen, Larry, John and Matt, his many cousins, nieces and nephews., mother-in-law Faye.
