Yvette R. Roy, 86, of Limerick, died peacefully in her home on May 5.She was born in Disraeli, Quebec, Canada on June 30, 1920 one of seven children of Louis and Ernestine (Martin) Boucher.Growing up in Limerick, she learned the value of hard work and helped to support her family from a young age. She met and married Aldaige Landry in 1943 and then followed the birth of their two children. Together they enjoyed camping, Sunday morning plane rides and spending time with their grandchildren. Mr. Landry died in 1980.Four years later she wed her childhood friend Robert Roy and was warmly welcomed by this "second family." Yvette enjoyed spending time with family, traveling, knitting, RV'ing and had a simple way of truly enjoying life. She was a strong and determined woman who will be dearly missed. Mr. Roy died in 2003.She was predeceased by 2 brothers, Armand Boucher and Robert Boucher, and by a sister, Lorraine Proto.She is survived by a son, Donald Landry and his wife Frances of Acton, a daughter, Lucy Poulin and her husband Philip of Limerick, 2 sisters, Lucy Nolette of Biddeford, Pauline Landry and her husband Roland of Springvale, a brother, Roger Boucher and his wife Norma of Limerick, 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, 4 stepchildren, Carol Gauthier and her husband Richard of Dunstable, MA, Maryann Proia and her husband Tom of Billerica, MA, Robert W. Roy of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Kathleen Carpenter Brauckmuller of San Antonio, TX, 9 stepgrandchildren, 8 step great grandchildren, 2 step great great grandchildren, and by countless friends.Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, May 8 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street, Sanford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 9:00 AM at St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church in Sanford.
