Thomas. E. Rose

Thomas E. Rose, 65, of York, died on Sunday, October 30, at his residence. He was born in Portland on October 4, 1951 to Donald and Violet (Hall) Rose.Tommy grew up and attended schools in California.As a young adult he made his way back to New England, where he made his life and home. Tommy was a natural salesman. Always looking for a new opportunity or endeavor, and definitely displayed entrepreneurial skills and spirit.Some of his interests included computers, scanners, CB radios, and was excited to get the newest electronic "gadgets" that came out. He also liked horseshoes, and he was an avid sports fan, especially for New England sports teams including the Boston Celtics.Most importantly, he was passionate about his family. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He had an amazing smile, he was a loving and caring father with a great sense of humor, always making jokes and encouraging others.Tommy was a Christian man. His faith was extremely important to him.Thomas is predeceased by his father, Donald Rose.Survivors include his mother, Violet Rose, a sister Donna Putman, a brother, Mitchell Rose, daughter Stephanie Westphal of Springvale, a son, Thomas Rose Jr. and his wife Chelsea, of York, daughter Nicole Elias and her husband T.J., of Springvale, a daughter Miranda Rose, of Springvale, four step children, Jennifer Espinosa, Karen Perillo, Gary Perkins and Nick Perkins, six grandchildren and several step grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 5, at 11:00 A.M. with an hour of visitation prior to the service. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery.Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.
