Anthony Rizco

Anthony Rizco, 94, of Springvale, died Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at his home.Anthony was born in Raritan, NJ to Pasquale and Margaret Rizco on August 15, 1911.Mr. Rizco worked as a machinist in Highland Park NJ where he lived until he retired in 1973 at the age of 62. Following retirement, he moved to Hudson, Florida where he resided until 2004. Anthony was an avid dancer and bowler and had a great love for animals, especially his beloved sheltie, Britches. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in New Brunswick, NJ. Anthony was a very family oriented person. He always had a wonderful time attending various family functions and especially enjoyed holiday gatherings. He will be remembered as a kind and loving man and will be deeply missed by his friends and family. Mr. Rizco was predeceased by his wives, Pauline Pagano, Emma Hatfield, and Jean M. Edwards.Surviving are a son, Patsy Rizco and his wife Pierrette of Lake Forest, California; a daughter, Theresa R. Toth of Springvale; three siblings, Sam Rizco, Lena Tambrano and Mary Macaro, all from New Brunswick, New Jersey; eight grandchildren, John R. Toth and his wife Kathy and Paul J. Toth, both of Sanford, Brian W. Toth and his wife Michele and Joy-Marie Toth, both of Springvale and Pauline Rizco, Tony Rizco, Pat Rizco and his wife Julie and Pierrette Rizco, all from California; eight great-grandchildren, Taylor, Matthew, Michael, Marissa and Tyler all from Maine and Dominick, Ryan and Quinn all from California and several nieces and nephews.A period of visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Friday, June 30, 2006 at Carll- Heald & Black Funeral Home, located at 580 Main Street in Springvale. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 1, 2006 at St. Ignatius Church in Sanford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the American Heart Association, 343 Gorham Road, South Portland, ME 04106.
