Shane M. Ricker

Shane M. Ricker, 38, of Saugus, Massachusetts, formerly of Sanford, died on Saturday, November 12, 2016.Shane was born in Newport, Rhode Island on February 24, 1978 to Paul and Joanne Ricker. He grew up in Sanford where he attended local schools. He worked as a self employed master carpenter.Shane enjoyed fishing, snowboarding, skiing, boating, biking, riding ATV's and virtually any outdoor activity. He was very good with his hands and could repair or build just about anything that he put his mind to. He was a devoted and loving father and uncle who cherished his son and nephew. Shane was a very outgoing and social man with a great sense of humor. He will be dearly missed by his family and his many friends.Shane was predeceased by his father, Paul J. Ricker.Surviving are his son, Justin Roberge of Sanford; his mother and step-father, Joanne and Stephen Daudelin of Sanford; his sister, Donna Turcotte and her husband Jeremy of Acton; his nephew, Brayden Turcotte of Acton and many aunts, uncles and cousins.Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00PM with a funeral service following at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 19th at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home located at 580 Main Street in Springvale.Shane's family would like to express their gratitude to the Wheeler Family of Saugus for the love and support shown to Shane and for bringing him into your family.Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider sending a memorial contribution to the Cancer Care Center of York County, c/o Karen Pierce-Stewart, 27 Industrial Avenue, Sanford, Maine 04073.Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.To leave a message of condolence for the family please click on the condolences tab to the left.
