Elsie A. Richard

Elsie A. Richard, 99, of Sanford, passed away on Friday April 19, 2013, at the Newton Center in Sanford. She was born in Fitchburg, MA on November 11, 1913 a daughter of the late Felicien and Lucienne (Boudreau) Richard.When she was 12 years old the family moved to Sanford where she attended St. Ignatius School and Sanford High School. She was a communicant of the former St. Ignatius Parish, where for many years she was active in the Adult Choir.For a few years she was employed by Allied Shoe. She retired in 1979 from the Brook Woolen Company where she had been employed 10 years.She is survived by her cousins, Jeanne Porter of Sanford, Blaine and Kathy Porter of Springvale.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 23rd at 10AM at St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church.
