Berthe L. Ramsell

Berthe L. Ramsell, 84, of Sanford, died Saturday, December 15, 2007 at H.D. Goodall Hospital in Sanford.Mrs. Ramsell was born in Sanford on December 9, 1923 to Esoras and Georgiana Beaudoin Gosselin and attended local schools. She married Roger Ramsell on May 11, 1946 and together they raised one son. Berthe worked in shoe shops throughout her life. She retired from Clev Brothers Shoe Shop in Derry, NH in 1985. Shortly after retiring, she and her husband moved to Florida. They spent 14 years in Florida before returning to Maine.Berthe was an animal lover, having several dogs and cats throughout her life. She will be remembered as a kind and loving wife and mother and for her wonderful sense of humor. She will be dearly missed by her friends and family. Surviving are her husband of 61 years, Roger Ramsell of Sanford; a son, Barry Ramsell and his fiancee Diane of Plaistow, NH; three nephews David Pepin of Wells, Dick Pepin of New Port Richey, FL and Guy Gosselin of Sanford and three nieces, Pauline MacMillan of Alfred, Elaine Lacola of Waterboro and Gail Gosselin of Sanford.A graveside service will be held in the spring at Pine Grove Cemetery in Waterboro.
