Jeanne D'Arc Pouliot, 87, of Springvale, passed away on Sunday October 15, 2006 at the Maine Medical Center in Portland. She was born in Salem, MA, the youngest of 10 children on February 22, 1919, a daughter of Joseph and Mary Jane (Lebel) Perron.The family moved to Sanford when she was three years old where she attended local Sanford schools.On July 22, 1939 she married Emmitt "Mitt" Pouliot at Holy Family Catholic Church in Sanford where they both remained lifelong communicants. Together they were members of the Cursillesta. She was a member of Les Enfants de Marie as well as the Ladies of St. Anne.She had previously worked in the local shoe shops as well as the local woolen mills as a weaver. An accomplished seamstress, she would make all of her children's clothing. In most recent years she enjoyed playing cards.She is predeceased by one daughter, Mrs. Raymond V. (Kathleen) Beaudoin who passed away in 1986, her husband of 49 years, Emmitt "Mitt" Pouliot who passed away in 1988.She is survived by one son, Michael Pouliot and his wife, Solveig of Arizona, one daughter, Anne-Marie Sanger and her husband, Jim of Sanford, her eight grandchildren, Michael Emmitt Pouliot and Kevin Pouliot, John, James, and Jason Beaudoin, Cynthia Donatelli, Jeffrey and Matthew Sanger, five great grandchildren, Cassandra and Nicolas Donatelli, Ada-Nicole Sanger, Tyler and Josh Beaudoin, two sisters, Marie Patch of Springvale and Bertha Charette of Sanford as well as many nieces and nephews.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday October 17th at 11am at Holy Family Catholic Church in Sanford. Burial will be at St. Ignatius Cemetery in Sanford.Arrangements are under the direction of the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street in Sanford.In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory to the St. Thomas Scholarship Fund or the Development Council Endowment Fund, 69 North Street, Sanford, Maine 04073.Condolences may be expressed by using the "condolence" tab at the left.
