June M. Porell

June Millington Porell much loved and greatly missed, died on May 16, 2010 in St. Paul, MN.June was a long time resident of Sanford and had resided for the past 4 years with her daughter in St. Paul. She was preceded in death by her husband Albert "Bert" Porell; by her parents Bernard Millington and Doris Richardson Millington; by her brothers Gordon R. Millington and Robert D. Millington; by her sister Marjorie Millington Hanks; and by her son-in-law G.C. Sponaugle.June is survived by her daughter Nancy J. (Porell) Sponaugle of St. Paul, MN; a brother, Bernard Millington of Tampa, FL; her sisters Mary Beckley of Sanford, Eva Lavertu of E. Rochester, NH and Joanne Caron and her husband Maurice of Alfred; by her granddaughter Emma Candelier; and great-granddaughters Alexandra and Amelie Candelier of Waynesboro, VA; as well as many nieces and nephews and special niece Dale Alexander.She was educated in Sanford schools, and was employed for 20 years as a bookkeeper for the Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company. She then worked for ten years at what is now Key Bank retiring in 1987. What June cherished most during her lifetime was the love she gave and received from family and friends. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 10 at 11:00 AM at St. Ignatius Cemetery, after which there will be a reception at the Heald Family Center, 574 Main Street, Springvale.Arrangements are under the direction of the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street, Sanford.
