June Elaine Phillips, 84, of North Berwick, died on Monday, February 5, 2018 at Wentworth Douglas Hospital in Dover, NH.She was born on July 8, 1933 to Andrew and Edith (Gerry) Fernald in Eliot, Maine where she grew up and attended local schools, graduating from Eliot High School in 1950. In December of 1950 she married Fred Philips and together they raised three daughters. Most of her life was spent in Eliot, and after retiring she and her husband moved to Waterboro, Maine. June spent her life as a homemaker and caretaker of her family and extended family.In her later years, she kept herself busy with country western jamborees, her monthly Eliot High School Alumni luncheons, and other local senior events especially in Alfred and Eliot, Maine. Other interests that she had were gardening, country western and opera music, animals and nature, holidays, and any reason to get together with her family and the people she cared about.She was a gregarious, loving woman and will be dearly missed.June was predeceased by her parents, her husband of 48 years, Fred Phillips, an infant brother Arthur Fernald, a brother Andrew P. Fernald Jr., and a sister Arlene.Survivors include a sister, Lillian Miller, of Eliot, daughters, Linda Berry of Camano Island, WA, Sharon Bartlett, of North Berwick, ME, and Cindy Bryce and her husband Stephen, of Oxford, ME, grandchildren, Kristina Hutchinson and her husband Matt of Camano Island, WA, Doulas Berry and his wife Carriann of Everett, WA, Jarod Bartlett and his wife Melisa of South Berwick, ME, Sarah Keating and her husband Joe, of Lebanon, ME, Ryan Bartlett of Lebanon, ME, Nancy Plante of Lewiston, ME, and Adam Plante, of Oxford, ME, great grandchildren, Georgia Hutchinson and Shiloh Hutchinson, Caitlyn Neuman and her husband Ethan,Caden Rose, Nevaeh Bartlett, Carys Bartlett, Danielle Keating, Audrey Keating, Kaedence Plante, a great great granddaughter Odessa Neuman, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 8, at 2:00 P.M. at Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main St., Springvale, ME.
