Lillian Perreault
Lillian T. Perreault, 91, of Sanford, died at her home on Thursday, October 28, 2010.Lillian was born in Sanford on September 11, 1919 to Ernest and Lydia (Rouillard) Tanguay and attended local schools. She married Roland J. Perreault in November of 1940 and together they raised five children.Lillian was employed as a spinner for 25 years at Sutton Mills in Sanford. She also worked for 24 years at Cakeland in Sanford. She enjoyed playing banjo, crocheting and cross-stitching. She also liked cooking, vegetable and flower gardening and going dancing when she was younger. Lillian was a devout Catholic. She was a member of St. Therse of Lisieux Parish and the Ladies of St. Anne. She was a quiet woman who enjoyed spending time at home with her family. She will be remembered as a kind and loving woman and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Lillian was predeceased by her husband and by a granddaughter, Sandra Corliss.Surviving are her five children, Rollande Nadeau of Biddeford; Yvonne Paul and her husband Gordon of Sanford; Andre Perreault of Boston, MA; Paul Perreault and his wife Louise of Shapleigh and Marcel Perreault of Sanford; 14 grandchildren, David, Adam, Steven, Rachel, Roland, Renee, Roxanne, Gary, Katie, Paul, John, Joseph, Justin and Margaret; eight great grandchildren, two brothers, Lionel and Leon Tanguay, both of Sanford and a sister, Helen Arseneault of Ft. Lauderdale, FL.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 2nd at Holy Family Church, St. Therse of Lisieux Parish. Interment will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery.Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider having masses said for Lillian.Arrangements are under the direction of Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home in Sanford.
