Susan M. Pepin, 54, of Alfred, passed away on Monday May 7, 2018 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough. She was born in Sanford on June 28, 1963, a daughter of Paul A. and Rita L. (Dion) Legere. She attended local schools graduating from Sanford High School in 1981. She then attended the University of Maine in Orono graduating in 1985. During this time she studied one semester in Canada.Susan was a school teacher for 32 years at the Margaret Chase Smith School. She loved to travel and biked across Holland. She loved spending time with family and friends and particularly enjoyed taking her daughter, Sydney to her functions and parks. Being an outdoorsy person, she enjoyed outdoor activities such as snow and water skiing, snowshoeing, biking, hiking, camping, paddle boarding and spending weekends on the water at camp. Susan would be the first to help anybody out in time of need.She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Ronald Pepin, her daughter, Sydney Pepin, parents, Paul and Rita Legere of Sanford, sister, Cindy Morin and her husband Doug of Sanford, brothers, Michael Legere and his wife, Sandra (Cote) of Sanford and their children, Ryan, Evan, Lauren, Allison, Thomas Legere and his wife, Tammy (Baldwin) of Sanford and their children, Ashley and Zachary, sister in law, Marguerite McGill and her husband, Steve of Herndon, Virginia and their children, Matthew, Brian, sister in law Monique Pepin of Sanford, and her children, Jessica and Bobby Jr., brother in law, Raymond Pepin of Sanford and his son, Seth, brother in law Richard Pepin and his wife, Rita of Sanford and their son, Jason, four aunts, two uncles and countless cousins.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 12th at 10AM at St. Therese of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church. Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery.
