Rudolphe R. Pelletier
Rudolphe (Rudy) Richard Pelletier, 93, of North Berwick, died Wednesday January 28, 2015. The son of Helen (Stebbins) and Charles Pelletier, he was born in Springvale and graduated from Sanford High School with the class of 1940. Rudy joined the Army Air Corps and later the Air Force. He was a 20 year veteran who served in World War II and the Korean War. He retired and went to work on Pease Air Force Base as an Engine Manager retiring from there in 1983.Rudy was predeceased by his wife of over 50 years Erroll (Currier) Pelletier, his grandson Jacob Jautaikis and two brothers, Leo Pelletier and Paul Pelletier. He is survived by two sisters, Anita Pelletier and Shirley Brocatto, two daughters and their families, Linda Driscoll and her husband Charles of Stuart, Florida, Pam Woods of Rye, NH, two beloved grandsons, Paul Driscoll and Nathan Jautaikis and many nieces and nephews.The last seven years Rudy resided at the Wentworth Home in Dover, NH where he met some very special staff and friends, especially Maddie Heon. Rudy always made sure there were enough Lindt chocolates to go around for everyone. Rudy always missed his cat Toby and so perhaps with Toby by his side he will help his favorite team the Patriots win the Super Bowl!A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 AM at the Notre Dame Church of St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, 10 Payne Street, Springvale. Burial with military honors will follow at the Southern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Springvale.The family is sincerely thankful to the staff at the Wentworth Home in Dover for all the special care they gave to Rudy.
