Paul Pelletier
Paul M. Pelletier, 88 of Sanford died unexpectedly on Sunday, April 29, 2012, at the Goodall Hospital in Sanford. He was born in Sanford on January 16, 1924 a son of the late Delia (Doiron) and Joseph Pelletier. He was a loving brother to five brothers and five sisters, a proud veteran and member of the medical corps during the WW II campaign in Europe. He returned to his native Sanford, as he loved southern Maine for it's great outdoors - the seashore, lakes and proximity to the mountains. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and boxing. He loved music and could tell a tale second to none. He is predeceased by his granddaughter, Breanna.Paul leaves behind the love of his life and wife of 68 years, Glenys Muriel (Weaver). She truly was his beloved companion and soul mate. He also leaves behind two sons, Michael and wife Wendy, Paul and wife Patricia, two daughters Denise Gallant and husband Donald, Kathleen Gauvreau and husband Patrick.He is also survived by six loving grandchildren and eight wonderful great grand children. He is also survived by his younger sister Gerry Pelletier and brother- in-law Fern Guay, his best friends.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 2 at 11 AM at St. Therese of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church. Burial with military honors will follow at Saint Ignatius Cemetery.Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider donations in his honor to the National Kidney Foundation 470 Forest Avenue, Suite 302, Portland, Maine 04101.
