Lillian M. Pelletier, 92, of Sanford died Sunday, June 4, 2006 at Goodall Hospital in Sanford.She was born in Sanford on May 2, 1914, the daughter of Guy and Exilia (Genest) Blanchard. She attended the Center Lebanon Grade School and graduated from the West Lebanon Academy in 1931. She was also a member of the last graduating class from H.D. Goodall Hospital School of Nursing in 1934. She graduated as a registered nurse and was employed by Goodall Hospital and also did private duty nursing. Lillian and her husband Roland owned and operated the former Pelletier's Market on Errol Street for more than 40 years. Lillian was a lifelong resident of Sanford, a communicant of Holy Family Parish and a member of the Ladies of Ste. Anne.Lillian was predeceased by her husband Roland; a sister, Mildred Blanchard Stewart; and two brothers, Wesley and Roland Blanchard.She is survived by three daughters, Gloria Laitres of Sanford, Theresa Rankin of Shapleigh and Rachel Pelletier of Lyman, six sons, Donald, Lionel and Richard of Sanford, Albert of Kennebunk, Paul of Wells and Raymond of Londonderry, NH; three sisters, Geneva Turner of Waterboro, Rita Ricker of Sanford and Clara Quint of Tennessee; 24 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.Visiting hour will be 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM on Wednesday, June 7 at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, located on Winter Street in Sanford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 8th at Holy Family Church in Sanford; interment will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery in Sanford.To leave the family a note of condolence please use the "condolence" tab at the left.
