Roger A. Payeur

Roger A. Payeur, 81, of Parsonsfield, died Sunday September 25th after a short illness.He was born on April 11, 1935, the son of Paul and Ruth (Belval) Payeur.He began is his career working with his father at Loring Air Force Base, then worked painting structural steel. Later, in the 1960's, he started his own structural steel painting business. He had a lifetime of adventures, traveling all over the world with CBI. He realized a dream when he purchased a farm where he raised chickens and ducks, had a blueberry business, and began planting and growing his own fruits and vegetables and making organic compost.He took great pride in his large family and enjoyed all the good times he got to spend with them.He is predeceased by Claire Payeur and his brother Donald Payeur.Survivors include his sister Germaine Nobert and her husband Danny, children Marcel Payeur and his wife Sue, Michael Payeur and his wife Sandra, Jim Payeur and his wife Lory, Dan Payeur and his wife Joanne, Tom Payeur and his wife Karen, John Payeur and Dianne Higgins, Peter Payeur and his wife Dianne, Linda Sevigny and her husband Andrew, 25 grandchildren and over 50 great grandchildren and his long time friend Beverly Kittredge.Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street, Sanford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 AM at the Holy Family Church of St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, 66 North Avenue in Sanford. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery in Springvale.Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.
