Marie A. Patch

Marie Ange Perron Patch, 97, formerly of Sanford, died on Thursday, December 18, 2008 at Seal Rock Health Care Facility in Saco.Marie was born in Salem, Massachusetts on September 23, 1911 to Joseph E. and Mary Jane Perron, moving to Sanford with her family when she was a child. During her working life, she was employed as a bookkeeper at the former Kostis Fruit, at Sears & Roebuck and for 30 years at Universal and Allied Shoe Companies. She was an avid walker and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. She had been a communicant of Notre Dame Church in Springvale.Marie was one of ten children. She was predeceased by her siblings Arthur, Leo, Albert and Alpha Perron, Yvonne Boudreau, Alma Murphy, Alice Bernier and Jeanne Pouliot.Surviving are her daughter, Patricia Eich of Kennebunk; a sister, Bertha Charette of Sanford; three grandchildren, Michael Eich of VA, Stephen Eich of MA and Cynthia Rothweiler of VA and four great-grandchildren, Stephanie Eich, Christopher Eich, Jennifer Eich and Morganne Rothweiler.A private memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 27th at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street in Springvale. Interment will take place at a later date on the family plot at St. Ignatius Cemetery in Sanford.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that masses be said in Marie's honor.To leave a message of condolence for the family, please click the condolences tab to the left.
