Anita Laferte Noel

Anita M. Laferte Noel, 63, of Sanford, died on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.Anita was born on December 29, 1952 to Raymond and Annette (Cantin) Laferte in Sanford where she grew up and attended local schools, graduating from Sanford High School in 1971. She was a devout Catholic and had been a communicant of St. Therse of Lisieux Parish. She enjoyed listening to music, cooking and baking and also when she was younger she also enjoyed ice skating. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and sister and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends.Surviving are two sons, Steven Mathieu and his wife Allison of Londonderry, New Hampshire and Conrad Sanborn and his husband Thomas of Portland; two grandchildren, Tyler and Mia Mathieu; five siblings, Claire Thibeault of Sanford, Rachel Howard and her husband Gary of Buxton, Yvette Meunier and her husband Michael of Sanford, Gerard Laferte and his wife Dot of Lebanon and Irene Houde and her husband Brian of Sanford; her aunt, Bertha Cantin of Springvale and many nieces and nephews.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Monday, November 28th at St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church, located on North Avenue in Sanford.
