Lorette Noel
Lorette Noel, 93, passed away on December 19, 2014 at Sunrise of Reston Assisted Living Facility in Reston, Virginia.She was born on October 1, 1921 to Patrick and Anna (Turmelle) Chenard in Springvale where she grew up and attended local schools. She moved to Virginia in 2009. Lorette worked in local shoe mills all of her working life. She married Henry Noel and they raised a daughter, Beverly. She was a faithful parishioner of St. Ignatius Church in Sanford, and she loved spending time with her family. Hobbies that she enjoyed were sewing, reading, and swimming.Lorette was predeceased by her husband of 36 years, her parents, a sister, Claire Steele, a brother, Edmond Chenard, and a sister Gloria Chenard. Surviving are her daughter, Beverly Ryczek and husband Thomas of Herndon, Virginia, her granddaughter Melissa, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home located at 29 Winter Street on Monday, December 29th from 8:30 to 9:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 A.M. at St. Therese of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church located on North Avenue in Sanford. She used to let my cousin Beverly and I watch the beauty pagents on the television they had in their kitchen. She used to take us shopping in Portland, and cooked us sliced fried potatoes. The first tiem I ate Wonder bread was at their house.
