Barbara Jean Newhall

Barbara Jean Newhall, 62, of Berwick, died on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford.Barbara was born in Woburn, Massachusetts on July 30, 1955 to James and Barbara (Roach) Silva, one of 10 children. She lived in Massachusetts for many years until moving to Vermont when she was in her early 30's. She stayed in Vermont until eventually relocating to Maine in 2008.Barbara was an animal lover and was particularly fond of her cats, Dobie and Tyler and her dog Pete. She was a simple person who appreciated the company of others and the little things in life. She will be remembered as a loving and congenial woman and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.Barbara was predeceased by her twin sister Lorraine.Surviving are her "chronic significant other" of 37 years, Paul Dussault of Wells; her son, Gerion Silva and his wife Jill of West Lebanon, New Hampshire; two grandchildren, Ava Silva and Aidyn Berube; eight siblings, Edward, Michael, David, James, Florence, Marietta, Emma and Kathleen and many nieces and nephews.A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 16 from Noon to 3:00 P.M.
