Bruce W. Newhall
Bruce W. Newhall, 62, of Sanford, died at his home on Saturday, February 5, 2011.Bruce was born in Dover, New Hampshire on June 2, 1948 to Benjamin and Louise (White) Newhall Jr. He graduated from North Berwick High School in 1967. Following graduation he worked as a welder for Hussey Seating Company for a short time and then enlisted in the U.S. Army. He was stationed in Germany for two years and attained the rank of Specialist 4. After completing his enlistment he went to work at the family business, Newhall Trucking located in North Berwick, which he did for most of his adult life. On September 25, 1993 he married the love of his life, Patricia A. Heidler.Bruce enjoyed life. He was stubborn, loving, kind-hearted and would do anything for anyone. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with family and friends. He adored and loved all his grandchildren. He displayed his gentleness and love not only with them but also with his pets; cats, Smutty & Toot; German Shepherds, Ranger & Brandy; Doberman, Diamond; Dalmatian, Domino and others. Bruce will be truly missed. He will remain in the thoughts and hearts of his family and friends always.Surviving are his wife, Patricia Newhall of Sanford; seven step-sons; his step-mother, Ada Newhall; a sister, Norma Newhall White; a brother, Kenneth Newhall and his wife Coleen; an aunt, Annie Junkins; two cousins, Wanda Boston and Beverly; a niece, Michelle Manning and her four children, Autumn, Tyler, Scott and one on the way; ten grandchildren, Treasure, Stuart, Aaron, Nikki, Cameron, Shelby, Natasha, Isabelle, Jayme and little Jason.Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on Sunday, February 13th at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street in Springvale.
