Wolfgang Muller
Wolfgang Gnter Mller, 76, of Sanford, died at his home on Sunday, December 31, 2017. Wolfgang was born in Berlin, Germany on February 20, 1941 to Kurt and Margarete (Bruner) Mller. He moved to the United States with his family when he was young, settling in Scarborough. He was drafted during the Vietnam Conflict and proudly served in the U.S. Army. During his working life he was employed for many years in the shoe manufacturing industry as an injection molding technician before settling to work in the retail industry after retirement. In 1970 he married Dianne Cote and together they raised two beautiful daughters and shared 47 years of marriage. Wolfgang was a devout Catholic and had been a communicant of St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church. He had also been a member of the Knights of Columbus and the AMVETS. He was a collector of model trains, coins and stamps. He enjoyed reading books about history and science-fiction; and also enjoyed watching movies, especially with his youngest daughter. Wolfgang was a very handy person and enjoyed doing projects around his house, especially anything electrical. He was a very hard worker and took pride in providing for his family. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband and father. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Wolfgang was predeceased by his parents and by a sister, Renate Hamilton. Surviving are his wife, Dianne Mller of Sanford; two daughters, Petrina and Briana Mller; both of Sanford; a close family friend, loved as a daughter and family member, Renee Dube of Indiana; five grand-kitties, Edison, Thomas, Belve, Gretta, and Karma a.k.a. "Whitey Bulger"; four siblings, Marlis Kelleher of Portland, Marion McGowan and her husband Jimmy of Ridgefield Park, New Jersey, Kurt Mller and his wife Lynn of Scarborough and Cornelia Mller of Scarborough and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, January 5, 2017 at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home located at 29 Winter Street in Sanford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 AM on Saturday, January 6th at St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church, located on North Avenue in Sanford.
