Scott Barraclough

Scott Barraclough, 64, of Springvale, died on December 18, 2020 at Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford following an eight year battle with cancer.Scott was born on June 14, 1956 to Wallace and Gladys (Binette) Barraclough in Sanford where he grew up and attended local schools, graduating from Sanford High School. Following high school Scott was hired as a loan officer at the former Northeast Bank in Sanford. He went on to manage the Peoples Heritage Bank in South Sanford for many years. Following his time at the bank he was employed for 12 years at the Department of Motor Vehicles in Springvale where he stayed for 12 years until he retired due to declining health.Scott was an active longtime member of the Knights of Columbus and was a past Grand Knight and was responsible for many people enrolling over the years. He also served for many years as the financial secretary, a position that he held up until the time of his death.Scott is predeceased by his father, Wallace Barraclough.Surviving are his wife, Martha Barraclough of Sanford; his son, Adam Barraclough, an Air Force officer stationed in Belgium; his mother, Gladys Barraclough, Donna Klinedinst of Silver Springs, Maryland and June Potere of Winchester, Kentucky. There will be no services held at this time.
