Joann B. Morley, 73, of Sanford, died on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at her residence in Sanford. She was born on October 7, 1944 to Raymond and Stascia (Wronkowski) Kohut in Peabody, MA, where she grew up and attended local schools,graduating from Peabody High School.In 1970, Joanne married Glenn Morley and together they raised two sons.She was employed by Sylvania Lighting Company in Salem for about 20 years, and also Avnet Electronics in Peabody for a number of years.She and her husband moved to Maine to be closer to their family in 2007.Being very fond of the outdoors, Joann loved fishing, camping, sitting by the campfire and was meticulous about keeping her lawn with her riding lawnmower. Her greatest enjoyment came from being with her grandchildren. Her family remembers her as a very generous person. She would do anything for you. Her door was always open to family and friends, and she was willing to provide a home for anyone in need. She will be dearly missed.She is predeceased by her parents, and her husband of 41 years, Glenn Morley Sr., sisters, Sophie Haidazuk and Mary Carey, brothers, John and Dick Kohut, a brother in law Archie Shadle, and a nephew, Billy Carey. Survivors include her sons, Glenn Morley, Jr., and his wife Lori, of Sanford, and Warren Morley and his partner Jessica Platt, of Sanford, a sister, Patricia Shadle, of Peachtree City, Georgia, eight grandchildren, Michael Morley, Danielle Morley, Michelle Morley, Jack Morley, Ellen Morley, Jacob Morley, Lucas Morley, and Joseph Morley, two great grandchildren, Scarlett Anatra, and Jordan Morley, and many nieces and nephews.Friends and relatives are invited to a time of visitation on Wednesday, February 14, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home.Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Animal Welfare Society, 46 Holland Road, Kennebunk, ME 04043.Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.To leave a message of condolence visit www.blackfuneralhomes.com
