Joseph A. Morin, 81, of Springvale, died on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.Joseph was born on November 12, 1936, to Armand and Leontine (Deschenes) Morin, the 12th of 19 children. He grew up in Springvale where he attended local Catholic Schools. In 1963 he married Gloria Pelletier and together they raised four children and shared nearly 55 years of marriage. He was employed at Pioneer Plastics in Sanford for several years until they closed. He then went to work as a master electrician at Textron in Dover, New Hampshire where he stayed for 35 years until his retirement.Joseph was a devout Catholic and enjoyed sharing his faith with others. He had been a communicant of St. Ignatius Parish in Sanford and the St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, Notre Dame Church in Springvale. He was very active in parish life including serving on the parish council, teaching CCD for 10 years and serving as a Eucharistic minister. He was a very handy person and could fix virtually anything around his house that he put his mind to whether it be electrical, plumbing or carpentry. Joseph loved spending time in the outdoors and being around nature. When he was younger he also enjoyed hunting. He was a very social man and enjoyed spending time with people. He loved to tell jokes and had an excellent sense of humor. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend and will be dearly missed.Surviving are his wife, Gloria Morin of Springvale; four children, Melissa Milione and her husband Rail of Seabrook, New Hampshire, Sheila Morin of Manchester, New Hampshire, Julia Stauble and her husband Peter of Francistowne, New Hampshire and Stephen Morin of Springvale; three grandchildren, Joseph Boucher, Christiana Stauble and Mariana Stauble and one great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Boucher.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 19, 2018 at St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, Notre Dame Church, located on Payne Street in Springvale. Interment will be in the spring at Notre Dame Cemetery in Springvale.Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider sending a memorial contribution to the St. Anthony Franciscan Friary, P.O.
