Conrad U. Morin
Conrad U. Morin, 83, of Sanford and formerly of Springvale, died November 22 at the Greenwood Center in Sanford after a brief illness.He was born in Springvale on June 9, 1928, a son of Emile and Adiana (Cloutier) Morin. He was raised in Canada and went to school there.Conrad moved back to the US and worked in Massachusetts and Connecticut until retiring to Maine in 1996.He was a communicant of the Notre Dame Church of St. Therse of Lisieux Parish where he was an acolyte for daily mass and for funerals. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus in Springvale.He was predeceased by a brother Roger Morin in 2002 and by a sister Rejeanne Morin in 2005.Survivors include 3 sisters, Simone Caron and Theresa Porell both of Springvale, Gisele Morin of Cantley, Quebec, a brother, Gilles Morin of Ottawa, Quebec and several nieces and nephews.Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday beginning at 9:30 AM at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street, Sanford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11:00 AM at the Notre Dame Church of St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, 10 Payne Street, Springvale. Burial will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery, after which a luncheon will be served at the Bishop Cote Hall in Springvale.Arrangements are under the direction of the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street, Sanford.
