Brian E. Mills

Brian E. Mills, 61, of Sanford, passed away on Sunday January 6, 2013 at his residence. He was born in Hartford, CT, on August 22, 1951 a son of Edward and Gladys (Mills) Drake. As a teenager he was adopted by his uncle, Frank Mills. He graduated from Lynn Trade School in 1971.For 10 years he was as employed as a salesman and manager at B & E Paint of Lynn, MA. He then worked as a machinist for Middleton Aerospace in Peabody and currently was employed at Pratt & Whitney in North Berwick, ME.Brian will be fondly remembered as a short man in stature but large at heart. He was a very giving person with a warped sense of humor and a wealth of useless information on any given day. As Brian would say "Another Day in Paradise." He enjoyed watching sports especially the Patriots and Red Sox. He was known to enjoy a game or two at the casino black jack tables. He will be deeply remembered and fondly missed.He is predeceased by his first wife, Patricia (Clinton) Mills.He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Mills of Springvale, sons, Brian E. Mills Jr., and Michael F. Mills both of Massachusetts, step daughter, Erin Little of Sanford, stepson, Shawn Little of Phoenix, Arizona, brother, Gary Drake and his wife, Janet of Phoenix, Arizona and granddaughters Addison and Zoe Little.Visiting hours will be on Thursday from 4 to 7PM at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale.Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider donations in his memory to a charity of one's choice.Condolences may be expressed at www.blackfuneralhomes.com
