Marguerite Michaud 3/19/1923 - 3/26/2022 (age 99) Marguerite Michaud, a nearly lifelong resident of Sanford, ME, died peacefully in her sleep in her new home in Hernando, MS, one week after her 99th birthday. Marguerite was born on March 19, 1923 in Rumford, ME. She moved to Sanford as a young girl. She met her future husband, Roland W. Michaud, as a teen. They were married on Sept 5, 1942 when she was 19 years old. They were married 62 years until his death in 2004. They raised 5 children. Marguerite was a homemaker. She enjoyed the beach, outings on her husband's lobster boat, weekend day trips with her family, along with baking, gardening, crafting and crocheting. Marguerite was predeceased by her parents Florita (Lemieux) Gallant and Robert Gallant Sr., husband Roland W, Michaud, her son Ronald Michaud, and her brother Robert Gallant Jr. She is survived by her sons Roland (Sonny) Michaud Jr. and Delores of Texas, and Richard Michaud and Beverly of Texas. She is also survived by her daughters Dolores Palmer of Maine and Darlene Michaud, her long time caregiver, with whom she recently moved with from Maine to Mississippi. She is also survived by her 6 grandsons and 7 great grand children, Wayne Palmer and his children Dean and Maggie, Scott Palmer and Amy, Ron Palmer and his children Nora and Jesse, Derrick Michaud and his daughter Skylar, Shawn Michaud and Lindsay and their children Layla and Fiona, and Curtis Michaud and Bianca. Marguerite will be buried with her husband at St. Ignatius Cemetery in Sanford, Maine.
