Raymond A. Michaud
Raymond A. Michaud Sr., 77, of Lebanon, died at his home on Thursday, December 6, 2012Ray was born in Lewiston on March 16, 1935. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. During his working life he was employed as a heavy equipment operator for Seaward Construction, driving an 18 wheeler hauling bulk cement for Genest Concrete and driving an 18 wheeler hauling nitrogen, oxygen and other gases for BOC Gasses until he decided to retire in 1998. Ray was never a person to sit idle so he decided to take a job as a school bus driver for SAD 60 during his retirement where he stayed until he fully retired in 2008.Ray enjoyed deep sea fishing, working around the house, playing cards with friends, camping, walking on the beach and going out to eat. He was a devoted family man and put the first in everything he did. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend and will be dearly missed.Ray was predeceased by his wife of 31 years, Doris R. Michaud.Surviving are his wife of 28 years, Mildred M. Michaud of Lebanon; five sons, and two daughters Roland Michaud and his wife Darilyn of Saugus, Ma., Diane Weymouth and husband Robert of Alfred, Roger Michaud and his wife Mary of Lebanon, Anne-Marie Peck and partner Ray Pepin of Lebanon, Raymond Michaud Jr. of Portland, Stephen Leonard and his wife Teri of Hollis, Richard Michaud and his wife Lois of Acton; a sister Jenine Roux of Lewiston; 18 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, one niece and one nephew.Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home located at 580 Main Street in Springvale.
