Thomas R. Meunier
Thomas R. Meunier of Alfred Maine passed away on November 16, 2016 at the age of 81 after a brief illness. Thomas was born November 5, 1935 in Sanford, Maine the son of Thomas A. Meunier and Germaine Beland Meunier.He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Deanna Meunier, and their five children: Son, Michael Meunier, his wife, Yvette of Sanford, and their children, Brian and Jim. Daughter, Maureen Michaud, her husband, Paul of Kennebunk, and their children, Andrea, Jason, and Kristina. Son, John Meunier, his wife Sharon of Sanford, and daughter, Courtney. Daughter, Karen Stone, her husband Dennis of Sanford, and their children Michael and Ryan. Daughter, Kimberly Graves, her husband Dana of Sanford, and their children, Jordan and Emma. And also 3 great grandchildren, Leah, Kaylee, and Jacob.He is also survived by three siblings: Brother Roger and his wife, Dorothy of Wolfboro, NH. Sister Eileen Moreau of Vestavia Hills, Alabama. Sister Margaret Stanford and her husband Larry of Athens, Georgia. Thomas and Deanna raised their family in Sanford, Maine and were active communicants of the Saint Therese of Lisieux Parish in Sanford. Tom was also a member of Knights of Columbus in Sanford. He retired from the J.J. Nissen Baking Company with 35 years of service as a delivery man and a member of the teamsters union. Thomas and Deanna traveled to and wintered in Myrtle Beach in their later years. Tom was very sociable, outgoing, and eager to bring joy to others. His life could be summarized as one of humble service that touched the lives of so many people whenever and wherever he was. Thomas' greatest joy came from time spent with his wife and family, and their many friends.In lieu of flowers, please send donations St. Jude Children's Hospital.Visiting hours for Thomas will be held on Sunday from 2 to 5PM at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street, Sanford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10AM at St. Therese of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church in Sanford.
