Robert Merrill

Robert Horace Merrill, 39, of Sanford, passed away at his residence in Sanford on Sunday May 25, 2008. He was born in Dover, NH on February 17, 1969, a son of Horace and Claudette (Guillemette) Merrill. Robert graduated from Sanford High School.He served in the US Army attaining the rank of SPC 4. He was also a member of the the New Hampshire Army National Guard. Bob was employed by the York County Sheriff's Department as a Corrections Officer at the York County Jail. He enjoyed skiing, golf and kayaking.He is predeceased by his mother, Claudette who passed away in 2006 and his father, Horace who passed away in 2007.He is survived by his companion, Martha Chamberlain, sisters, Diane Dugre, Debra Alexander and Michelle Merrill, brothers, David Merrill, Merle Merrill and Michael Merrill.Visiting hours for Bob will be on Friday, 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale.
