Gloria M. Martin

Gloria M. Martin, age 77, formerly of High St., Sanford and a resident of The Lodges in Springvale, died on October 13, 2006 at Goodall Hospital following a long illness. She was born in Sanford on January 14, 1929, the daughter of Henry J. and Mary (Murry) Demers. Mrs. Martin attended Sanford schools and was a communicant of Holy Family Church. For many years she was employed as a spinner in local textile manufacturing companies before retiring due to ill health.Survivors include her husband of nearly 60 years Francis J. Martin, a daughter, Kathleen Beaudoin and her husband Daniel of Sanford, three sons, Craig Martin and his wife Rachel of Sanford, Tim Martin and his wife Cindy of Wells, Kevin Martin and his wife Lisa of Shapleigh, a sister Margaret Wheeler of Portage, Indiana, her brother, Tim Moran of Sanford and 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.At her late request there are no visiting hours and a private graveside service will be at a later date.Arrangements are made by Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter St., Sanford, ME.Condolences may be sent by using the "condolence" tab at the left.
