Vincent R. Marraffa, 79, of Sanford, Maine, passed away March 15, 2019 after a lengthy illness. He was born in Salem, Massachusetts on October 7, 1939. He attended Salem High School and was a Veteran of the United Sates Air Force. Vincent went on to be a cameraman and editor for channel 7 news in Boston for 30 years. He enjoyed cooking, dancing and singing. He also loved watching the patriots and red sox games, playing cards, cribbage and bingo with family and friends. Vincent was predeceased by his parents, John and Antonia (Poretta) Marraffa , sons Lee Marraffa and James Marraffa, and his former wife Margaret (Cavanaugh) Marraffa with whom he had five sons.Vincent leaves behind Chester Cone, a son, Brian Marraffa and his wife Tracy of Sanford, ME, a son David Marraffa and his wife Amy, of Livermore falls, ME, a son Anthony Marraffa from Gloucester, MA, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins and friends.Thank you to the staff and residents at the Newton Center nursing home in Sanford and Hillcrest Gardens for their friendship and care of Vincent. We appreciate all of you.A time of visitation will be held on Saturday, April 6, form9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. with a memorial service at 11:00, at Carll Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main St., Springvale, ME.
