Richard J. Mailhot

Richard J. "Dick" Mailhot, 58, of Sanford, died on Sunday, April 26th at Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford.Dick was born on February 23, 1957 to Raymond and Angela (Morin) Mailhot in Sanford where he grew up and attended local schools. During his working life he held several jobs in the construction industry. He was very good with his hands and skilled in masonry, carpentry and other building trades. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed camping, fishing and riding his motorcycle. He will be remembered as an outgoing man with many friends and will be dearly missed.Dick was predeceased by his brother Mark Mailhot.Surviving are his son, Richard Mailhot, Jr. of New Hampshire; his grandchildren, Bryan and Nathan Mailhot of New Hampshire; his parents, Raymond and Angela Mailhot of Sanford; his brothers Roland and Brian Mailhot, both of Sanford; three nephews, Derik Mailhot of Waterboro, Jonathan Mailhot of New Hampshire and Steven Alley of Sanford; two nieces, Michelle and Danielle Mailhot, both of West Newfield; a great niece, Shalyn Alley and a great-nephew, Bradley Alley.Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, April 30th at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home located at 29 Winter Street in Sanford.
