Bobbie Levesque
Bobbie A. Levesque, 39, of Sanford, died on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at Maine Medical Center in Portland.Bobbie was born in New Jersey on February 23, 1970 to Donald and Shirley (Gardener) Levesque. She grew up in Dayton where she attended local schools. She moved to Acton during high school and graduated from Wells High School in 1988. Following high school she attended Laconia Technical School where she received a degree in graphic arts.Bobbie was a very hard working woman who always found something for herself to do. Following school she was employed at William Arthur and then at the University of Southern Maine in Portland. At the time of her death she was employed by Home Senior Services in Gorham and had been attending Seacoast Career Schools to become certified as a medical assistant. She had also worked part-time at the House of Pizza in Sanford and Famous Pizza in Springvale for over 20 years. Bobbie loved people and was very devoted to caring for the elderly people that she assisted through her work. She loved horses and enjoyed going every Sunday with her friend Tammi to the stable to care for and ride her horse Tom. Bobbie will be remembered as a very happy person who was always smiling and laughing and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.Bobbie was predeceased by her son, Keith Wood.Surviving are her husband, Gary Carlton of Sanford; a son, Shawn Carlton of Sanford; her parents, Shirley and Donald Levesque of Acton; her brother Donald Levesque Jr. of North Berwick; two sisters Christina Levesque of California and Leona Gerry of Sanford; aunts and uncles, Mike of Old Town, Florence Haddican of New Jersey, Irene and Mike Palanchi of New Jersey, Linda and Tom of New Jersey, Ann Shelly of Alabama, Martha and Dave Lapha of Georgia, Louise, Elizabeth, Rachel and Jerry from Dayton; nieces and nephews, Julie, Helio, Matao; grand-niece, Lillian; several cousins includingJoline Levesque of California and Glenn Myers of Florida; and close friends, Tammi Marier and her children Khris and Samantha of Sanford, Missy Owusu and her children Chad, Gino and Zack of Virginia and Melody, Alicia and Steph.Visitation will be on Monday, February 8th from 2:00 to 4:00 PM with a funeral service taking place at 4:00 PM at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street in Springvale.
