Maurice E. Letourneau

Maurice E. Letourneau, 70, of Alfred, passed away after a long illness at his residence on Sunday, July 21, 2019.He was born on September 3, 1948, the son of the late Robert J. and Yvonne D. (Cote) Letourneau in Sanford where he grew up and attended St. Ignatius school and graduated from Sanford High School.Maurice was employed at Kelly Orchards in Acton when he was very young, and then worked at Aerofab, and Baker Company from where he retired after 33 years.In his younger years he drove a stock car at Beech Ridge. He also enjoyed camping and going to the beach. For a time, Maurice drove a stock car at Beech Ridge.Maurice was a quiet man, whose life was centered around his family. He was a wonderful husband, father and Pepere and will be dearly missed.Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Dorothy Letourneau, two daughters, Simone Letourneau of Sanford and Stacey Roy of Center Conway, NH, three step sons, Darrell Jordan and his wife Christina, of Cornish, Nathan Jordan and his wife Karen, of Biddeford, and Harold Jordan and his wife Heather of Parsonsfield, three brothers, Rene Letourneau and his wife Collette, Leo Letourneau and his wife Marcia, of Kennebunkport, and Paul Letourneau of Alfred, a sister Delores Arsenault of MD, 10 grandchildren, four great grand daughters, and several nieces and nephews.A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 30, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, Notre Dame Church, 10 Payne St., Springvale.
