Leonard Lehoux
SANFORD Leonard W. 'Lenny' Lehoux 79 died Wednesday at his home following a long illness surrounded by his family. He was born in Sanford March 6, 1929 a son of Alcide & Leonia (Roy) Lehoux. Lenny attended the former St. Ignatius school as well as Sanford schools. Lenny was employed at Maremont in Saco for 21 years, later working at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard for seven years and retiring from Thompson Center Arms of Rochester, NH at the age of sixty two. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict serving with a tank battalion.A communicant of St. Therse of Lisieux parish, Notre Dame church in Springvale, he was a member and past master of the Springvale Masonic Lodge, the Blue Lodge, the Pioneer Club, York County Shrine Club, and a member of the Shriner KORA Renegades, and the American Legion.Survivors are his wife of 55 years, Shirley Downing Lehoux, his daughter Marie Butterfield and her husband Chris of Lebanon, three sons, Leonard E. and his wife Candace, Douglas and his wife Karen and Robert and his wife Ellen all of Sanford. His brother Willie and his wife Lise of Davenport, FL. Eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 :00 AM Monday at St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, Notre Dame Church, Springvale.
