Connie Costello Legere
Clotilde "Connie" Costello Legere, 94, of Sanford, died Sunday at the Greenwood Center in Sanford after a lengthy illness.She was born in Frenchville on October 21, 1917, the daughter of Donat and Zeline (Martin) Paradis and came to Sanford in 1936.She was employed with the Goodall-Sanford Textile Mills then Jagger Mills. She retired from Sprague Electric many years ago.A communicant of St. Ignatius Church, she sang there in the choir for many years and was a member of the Daughters of Isabella. Connie was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary and a longtime volunteer at the H. D. Goodall Hospital and the Brothers of Christian Instruction in Alfred.She was predeceased by her first husband, Henry Costello in 1994, her second husband Leon Legere in 2011 and by a granddaughter, Theresa Grant in 2001.Survivors include her son Ronald Costello and his wife Judy of Sanford, son Thomas Costello and his wife Sara of Mulberry, FL, daughter Paula Thibodeau and her husband Lawrence of Sanford, stepdaughters Phyllis Vaccaro and her husband Bill of Lyman, Betty Laskey and her husband Ron of Connecticut, Claire Brackett and her husband Dwight of Portland, Theresa Charette of Sanford, Carmen Pierce and her husband Peter of Oakton, VA, brothers Ivan Paradis of Gardiner, Gerard Paradis of Springfield, PA, 6 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 5 to 8 PM at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street, Sanford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the Notre Dame Church of St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, 10 Payne Street, Springvale.
