Alice LaRose

- Alice LaRose, 83, passed away peacefully February 13 after a brief illness. She was born in Whitefield NH on April 16, 1923 to the late Roy and Ethel (Lindsey) Brown. She was one of seven children. She grew up loving life and enjoying people and places where she called home. Alice worked for many years at the former Allied Shoe Company and Sprague Electric.Alice married William LaRose in 1949 and they moved to Sanford, where she lived for the remainder of her life. In her younger years she enjoyed traveling to places like Puerto Rico and Hawaii. She always had a love for going to the beach and truly enjoyed farm life. Alice loved to knit and cook, and she has passed on her legacy through her many skills and talents, although no one can duplicate her pork pie, fudge or biscuits. Alice was always there for people and willing to help anyone at anytime. She will be dearly missed.She is survived by her two children, Ronald LaRose and Irene Adams both of Sanford. Her brother Floyd Brown of Bethleham, NH, her seven grandchildren, Bill LaRose of Sanford, Christopher LaRose of Shapleigh, Lori Williams of Acton, Rae Smith of Sanford, Marc J. Waterhouse of Sanford, Justin and Isaac LaRose of Sanford, also her five great-grandchildren, Noah and Kallie LaRose of Shapleigh, Clayton and Brooke Williams of Acton and Grace Smith of Sanford, and countless people who considered her to be their 'gram'.Burial will be in the spring at St. Ignatius Cemetery.
