Rachel B. LaFlamme

Rachel B. LaFlamme, 92, of Sanford, died on Monday, December 23, 2013 at the H.D. Goodall in Sanford.Rachel was born on June 18, 1921 to Joseph and Dorilda (Desjardins) LePage in Newmarket, New Hampshire where she grew up and attended local schools. She and her husband relocated to Sanford in the early 1970's and she resided in the Sanford/Springvale are for the rest of her life. She held several jobs during her working life but she devoted the majority of her days to caring for her family.Rachel was a devout Catholic. She had been a member of St. Ignatius Parish where she had served as a Eucharistic minister and had also belonged to the Ladies of St. Anne. She was a very social and outgoing woman with many friends and enjoyed spending time outdoors. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.Rachel was predeceased by her husband, Ernest J. LaFlamme.Surviving are two children, Andre LaFlamme and his wife Janice of Westbrook and Jeanne Adams and her husband Wilbrod of Sanford; seven grandchildren, Sara LaFlamme, Kathryn Roma and her husband John, Nicole LaFlamme, Jennifer Adams and her fiancee Nick Colby, Jessica Adams, Lynne Signore and Jason Adams; four great-granddaughters, Carigan Fisk, Bryn and Reece Roma and Alana Mayo and several nieces and nephews.Visitation will be held on Friday, December 27th from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home located at 29 Winter Street in Sanford. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 AM at St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church, located on North Avenue in Sanford.
