Ernest J. Laflamme
Ernest J. Laflamme, 'Pepere',91, of Springvale, passed away peacefully on Saturday March 1, 2008 at the Goodall Hospital in Sanford. He was born in Sanford on November 25, 1916, a son of Joseph and Alexandrina (Perreault) Laflamme.On July 1, 1950 he married Rachel Lepage at St. Mary's Church in New Market, NH. As a young child his family relocated to St. Claude, P.Q., Canada. After working as a woodsman in Canada he came back to the states where he worked at Wise Shoe in Exeter, NH. While in Gorham, ME he raised chickens for Hillcrest Poultry. He moved to Sanford and Springvale in the early 70's where he was employed by Sprague Electric. After retirement he enjoyed socializing at the many area clubs where he was affectionately known as 'pepere' to his many friends.He is predeceased by his parents and two brothers, Armand Laflamme and Gerard Laflamme.He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Rachel (Lepage) Laflamme. One son, Andre Laflamme and his wife, Janice of Westbrook, one daughter, Jeanne (Laflamme) Adams and her husband, Wilbrod of Springvale, granddaughters, Sara Fisk and her husband, Scott, Kathryn Roma and her husband, John. Nicole Laflamme, Jennifer Adams, Jessica Adams, great granddaughters, Carigan Fisk, Bryn Roma and Alyna Mayo, one brother, France Laflamme of St. Claude, P.Q., Canada, one sister, Anita LeCler on Windsor Mills, P.Q., Canada, as well as several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Pavillion, Greenwood Center and Goodall Hospital for all their care to pepere.Visiting hours will be on Monday from 4 to 7pm at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street in Sanford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11am at St. Therse of Lisieux Parish- St. Ignatius Church in Sanford.
