Lewis W. Knight

Lewis W. Knight, 59, of Sanford, forever known as "Huck", passed way Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Gosnell Hospice House in Scarborough. He was surrounded by those that loved him as he entered into eternity after a lengthy battle with cancer. Huck was born September 7, 1955 to George E. Knight and Nanette G. Knight.He is preceded in death by the love of his life, Lucia E. Knight earlier this year.Four children survive him: Mary Wakefield; Dennis Knight and his wife Susan; Sara Knight; and Pamela Knight. He was the proud "Papa" to eleven grandchildren. He was also loved and survived by brothers and sisters: Douglas Knight, Cathy Harriman, Dennis Knight and Judy Thibodeau.Anyone who had the privilege of knowing Huck knew him to be a hard worker who loved his family unconditionally. He enjoyed spending time with close friends and family and always enjoyed telling and hearing story of the "good old days". Huck enjoyed deer hunting almost as much as he enjoyed hunter's breakfasts with his brothers and his "hunting party". He was known to love getting in his vehicle and driving with no destination in mind and to just ride around town to relax and clear his mind. A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday December 2nd at 3PM at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale.
