Edward J. Kenyon
Edward Joseph Kenyon Jr., age 53, passed away in his home on Wednesday, December 3, 2014. He courageously fought multiple myeloma for over four years, while also providing emotional support to others with similar conditions.Born on September 19, 1961, in Boston, MA, Edward grew up in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. At age 15, he moved to Sanford, ME and graduated from Sanford High in 1980. He married his high school sweetheart, Monique (Cote) Kenyon, on January 31, 1981. After pursuing a career as a master electrician, he founded Kenyon's Electric Inc. in 1990. He happily served the community until the time of his passing. In the little spare time he had, Edward enjoyed martial arts, tinkering with mini bikes, renovating his apartment building, talking about cars, and sailing on his sunfish. He was kind, selfless, and caring; always putting others' needs above his own. Edward was well known, and adored, for his great sense of humor and tireless work ethic. "I love you more!"Survivors include his father, Edward J. Kenyon Sr. and his wife, Victoria; his mother, Marie Bither and her husband, George; his wife of 33 years, Monique; their children Joseph and his wife Julia, Peter, Samantha and her two children, Malachai and Victoria; his brothers Bill, Steven and his wife, Salete; sisters Christine and her husband Bill, Debra, Linda, Lisa; and many nieces and nephews.Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, December 21st, at Pleasant Street Free Baptist Church, 10 Pleasant Street, Springvale, ME. Relatives and friends are welcome at the service and the reception at the church immediately following.We would like to thank the loyal customers of Kenyon's Electric, Inc., and those who have ministered to us over the years.
