Rita M. Jourdain

SANFORD Rita M. Jourdain 77 a long time resident of Sanford died Tuesday at H.D. Goodall Hospital.She was born in Lebanon October 10, 1929 the daughter of Cyrille & Yvonne (Roy) Grondin. She attended both Lebanon & Sanford schools. Rita owned and operated Small World Day Care at her former Main St. home for over 30 years. Her fondest times at day care were enjoyed outdoors with her kids playing and picking blueberries.Rita was a communicant of St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, St. Ignatius Church. She enjoyed collecting and selling porcelain dolls. Her husband Laurent died in 1999 and her son Daniel died in April of this year.Survivors are her daughter Linda Love and her husband Marc of E. Waterboro,six grandchildren, Jason Legere and his wife Lisa, Jessica Legere, Joey Jourdain, Dawn Lahapelle and her husband Kevin, Ryan Jourdain & Stevie Jourdain. Six great grandchildren Cameron, Benjamin, Cole, and triplets Grace, Eric & Julia, along with two Brothers and a Sister.A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 :00 AM Saturday in St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, St, Ignatius Church.
