Lois H. Jack

Lois H. Jack, 89, of Sanford, died on Sunday, July 29, 2018 at the Greenwood Center in Sanford.Lois was born on November 11, 1929 to Walter and Dorothy (Cushman) Hastings in Thomaston where she grew up and attended local schools, graduating from Thomaston High School. In 1951 she married Blaine H. Jack and together they raised three children and shared 66 years of marriage until his death this past February.Lois dedicated her life to caring for and raising her family. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother and also served as an adopted mother to many of her children's friends and children in her neighborhood. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, her granddogs and going on family outings. Lois was very proud of her family and the people that they all grew into, especially her grandchildren. She will be remembered as a kind and loving woman and will be dearly missed.Surviving are three children, Lucinda Jack, Tony Jack and his wife Karen and Amy Jack, all of Sanford; two grandchildren, Kaelin and Blaine Jack of Sanford and close family friend, Marilyn Hutchinson of Sanford. A celebration of Lois's life will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 PM on Saturday, August 4th at Tony and Karen's house, located at 92 Jellerson Road in Sanford.
