John T. Huston

John "Papa John" T. Huston, 71, of Acton, Maine passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at Southern Maine Health Care in Sanford, Maine.John was born in Lewiston, Maine to the late Thomas and Marion Huston of Durham, Maine. He was an incredibly caring and generous person; he was that "give his shirt of his back kind of guy". He simply loved people and he had the ability to see the good in everyone. John was a great friend and a great father and was very proud of his children. His son, Shawn Huston and wife Sandra of Acton, Maine; his daughter Shelley Huston and granddaughter Brigh (his Lil' Angel) of Shapleigh, Maine and his foster daughter Vicki Bradford and grandson Nevin of KDH, North Carolina. He is also survived by his wife of 49 years, Marie Huston of Acton, as well as his many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, in laws and many friends, including his beloved cat Otis. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 14th from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Carll-Heald and Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale, Maine.
