Cecile R. Huppe

Cecile R. Huppe, 91, a lifelong resident of Sanford, passed away on Saturday February 7, 2015 at the Newton Center in Sanford. She was born in Sanford on January 16, 1924 a daughter of the late Gustave and Maria (Poisson) Roux. She attended Holy Family School and was a lifelong communicant of the parish. When she retired from Sprague Electric she had 20 years of service with the company. She volunteered at the York County Shelter where she was instrumental and initiated the large yearly food drive.She is predeceased by her husband Antonio J. Huppe as well as many of her siblings.She is survived by her two sons, Roger Huppe and his wife, Christine of Alfred, Richard Huppe and his wife, Phyllis of Fort Worth, Texas, four grandchildren, Jeff Huppe and his wife, Lisa, Renee (Huppe) St. Laurent and her husband, Jeff, Rob Huppe and his wife, Kristen, Matt Huppe and his wife, Alicia, five great grandchildren, one sister, Doris Desrochers of Sanford.A Graveside service will be held on Friday August 7th at 3:30PM at St. Ignatius Cemetery in Sanford.Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider donations in her memory to the Mayflower Place Activities Fund, 27 Mayflower Drive, Sanford, Maine 04073.Arrangements are under the direction of the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street, Sanford.Condolences may be expressed at www.blackfuneralhomes.com
