Thomas A. Huntress

Thomas A. Huntress, 52, of Sanford, passed away on May 3, 2013 in Sanford. He was born in Sanford on July 3, 1960 a son of the late Leslie and Lola (Mayo) Huntress. He served in the US Army from 1979 until 1982.Tom enjoyed doing carpentry work as well as gardening. He spent alot of time working on vehicles and enjoyed playing mechanic when needed. Tom also enjoyed spending time with family especially his nieces and nephews.He is predeceased by his parents, Leslie and Lola Huntress.He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by family and friends.He is survived by his children, Katie Huntress, Kayla Huntress, Rosie Huntress, Thomas Huntress Jr., siblings, James Huntress, Susan Roy, Barbara Lewis, Judith Huntress, William Huntress, Brenda Huntress and Shirley Huntress.A graveside service with military honors will be held on Thursday at 10AM at the Southern Maine Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Springvale.Arrangements are under the direction of the Black Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.
