Stephen D. Howard Howey

Stephen D. Howard, "Howey" 66, of Sanford, passed away on July 18, 2017. He was born on April 19, 1951 in Melrose, MA, to Elinor M.E. (Parsons) Howard. He was educated in Saugus and Sanford Schools.Stephen enlisted in the US Army serving between March 1971 until March 1973. He served in Vietnam between August 1971 and June 1972. While in Vietnam he was injured earning him a Purple Heart. Later he was presented with a Silver Star for honorable service.Stephen is predeceased by his mother.He is survived by his sister Linda Ham and her husband David of Sanford, brother, David Howard and his significant other, Denise Randal of New Gloucester, nephew Michael Ham of Sanford, as well as several cousins across the country. He is also survived by his best friends, Gary and Pam Letourneau.Military honors will be rendered for Stephen on Monday July 31st at 11AM at the Southern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Springvale.
