Lois I. Hilton

Lois I. Hilton, 84, passed away on December 31, at Maine Medical Center in Portland after a brief illness.She was born in Sanford on December 11, 1930 to Howard and Mildred (Russell) Mitchell. She grew up and attended schools in Sanford. After graduating from Sanford High School in 1948, she went on to be a nurse's aide, and worked at Hillcrest Manor in Sanford. Lois enjoyed being at home. She loved reading, doing word searches, and watching bowling and Boston Red Sox games.Surviving are two sons, James Gauthier and Michael Gauthier, both of Sanford, a brother, Roger Mitchell, four grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.She was predeceased by her husband, Frederick Hilton in 2004, and a grand-son.Upon the family's request there will be no funeral services.Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Services Sanford-Springvale.To leave condolences for the family, please click on tab at left.
